Welcome to my homepage! I am an Assistant Professor of Finance in the School of Business at University of Northern British Columbia. I hold a Ph.D. in Finance from University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada), a Master’s degree in Management from Clemson University (Clemson, South Carolina, USA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (Dalian, Liaoning, China).
My research focuses on empirical asset pricing, international finance and sustainable finance. Within these fields, it involves stock return predictability; corporate social responsibility; climate change risk; American depositary receipts; idiosyncratic volatility; and portfolio management. I also serve as reviewer for journals, as committee member for academic conferences, and as assessor for national research grants.
I am interested in teaching Investment, Portfolios Management, Corporate Finance, International Finance and Personal Financial Planning. During my doctoral study at University of Manitoba, I taught several undergraduate and MBA courses in the Asper School of Business. In addition, I received multiple scholarships and awards including International Graduate Student Scholarship, Gordon P. Osler Graduate Scholarship, Canadian Credit Management Foundation Fellowship and Faculty of Graduate Studies Travel Award.
